Leland Blue Stone and Recycled Sterling Silver Earrings

$220.00

Unique earrings feature Leland Blue, a slag glass once produced as a by-product from iron refining that is now found washed up on the shores of Lake Michigan, set in handmade sterling silver settings. The reverse of the settings are etched with electron micrograph photos of cast iron, echoing the origins of the slag glass. The upper portion of the earrings are fused silver scraps, and ear wires are hand fabricated of 20 gauge sterling.

These are heavier earrings, coming in a 11 grams per earring, so not for delicate ear lobes; they would also be appropriate for wear with gauges.
