Larvikite (Norway, via Raley Design Studios lapidary in California) is set in a horizontal setting of sterling silver on a striped band.

  • Larvikite is a feldspar, similar to labradorite.  It is found near Larvik, Norway as part of a suite of igneous rocks in the Oslo rift. It is sometimes used in kitchen counters or the facings of buildings.
